Content Policy
All novels and other content (such as cover images and product descriptions) must comply with these content policy guidelines, which may change over time. We reserve the right to determine the appropriateness of the content. To provide the best customer experience, we may choose not to offer any content or otherwise limit its availability.
Prohibited Content
We reserve the right to determine the suitability of all content submitted for publication on the service. Titles containing continuous or explicit sexual acts, violent behavior, meaningless nudity and/or pornographic themes ("Adult Content") are not allowed to be published on COLANOVELS. Titles containing adult content may not be modified or edited from their original form to circumvent this restriction.
Explicit sexual content
Content that contains pornography or has explicit depictions of sexual acts or nudity.
Content that glorifies illegal sexual behavior.
Content whose main purpose is sexual arousal.
Violent or bloody content
Contains extremely bloody, decapitation, disturbing content and/or overly violent image descriptions intended to shock customers.
Dangerous or illegal content
Content that promotes, supports or incites viewers to engage in dangerous or harmful behaviors.
Content that promotes organized crime, terrorism or other illegal activities.
Content that glorifies or promotes illegal acts of animal abuse or cruelty.
Content that provides advice on how to start or participate in an illegal lifestyle.
Content that provides guidance on how to manufacture or build dangerous items.
Content that glorifies or promotes the use of illegal or controlled drugs.
Hate content
Content that includes derogatory comments, hate speech, or threats specifically targeting any group or individual.
Content that promotes hate speech, incites racial or gender hatred, or supports groups or organizations with such beliefs.
Harassment and cyberbullying
Content containing abusive, derogatory and/or humiliating language.
Content that promotes or assists in stalking and intimidation.
Malicious or harassing digital content, including but not limited to unauthorized acquisition of novels.
Illegal and Infringing Content
We take violations of law and proprietary rights very seriously. The licensor is responsible for ensuring that the content does not violate applicable laws or copyrights, trademarks, privacy, publicity, or other rights (including components of the content, such as background music or items displayed in the content). Even if the content is freely available, the licensor cannot simply copy and sell it.
Content that you did not create and are not authorized to distribute, including the entire work or its components, such as music or illustrations.
Content containing trademarks that you do not have the right to use.
Content containing personal information of others.
Content containing false statements about an individual and intended to damage their reputation.
Public domain content
We do not accept public domain content or content that is almost indistinguishable or identical to one or more other works.
Poor customer experience
We do not accept novels that contain external links, tracking tags, features not supported by COLANOVELS, or in any other way provide a poor experience for customers. We reserve the right to accept or reject any novel based on our own judgment, as they may lead to a disappointing experience.
Quality issues
Content with source files where the duration of audio and digital content does not match.
Content where the cover image does not include the title name.
Content with missing, out-of-sync or inaccurate subtitles.
Content with watermarks, logos or references to inaccurate distribution channels.
Content where the metadata and/or cover image does not match the content.
Content or metadata in unsupported languages.
Content that does not rely on a textual reading experience (e.g., content consisting only of static images or lacking significant visual changes).
Content that is freely available on the Internet, including content with open/public copyright.
Business promotion and external links
Content that implies a partnership with COLANOVELS, misuses the COLANOVELS logo or COLANOVELS brand products (including COLANOVELS subsidiaries).
Content that includes URLs, external links or calls for action outside of COLANOVELS.
Content that is purely advertising or consists solely of advertising.
Content that uses, misuses, implies an association with another party or otherwise uses another party's brand in a way that causes confusion for customers.
Restrictions in specific countries or regions
Some of the countries where we distribute content may have stricter standards for defining "offensive content" or "illegal and infringing content" than others. This may include restrictions on the display of tobacco brands and the depiction of drug use; content containing offensive, illegal or infringing descriptions may be subject to publication restrictions in certain regions.
We may restrict the sale of any work in any country or region if its sale or distribution there would violate the laws, cultural norms or sensitive issues of that country or region, or for any other reasons at our sole discretion.
